Finals are in the air!
Round 22 coming up!
Round 22 this weekend is against the same team we saw in Round 1 - the Adelaide Crows. Why not revisit that very first game?! This was back in the good ol' days when all my colleagues laughed that we picked the Doggies and said they'd never even make it to September. HAHA! Silly coworkers.
Love, love, LOVE Brad Johnson.
Appropriate here, not there
One more game
There's just one footy game left in the regular season (or, "home and away"). Then the madness begins... 4 weeks of nation stopping finals. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Quote of the day
"You are craft fabric, NOT fashion fabric."

Batman
We finally saw "The Dark Knight" like the rest of the world... but it mostly just made us miss Chicago... Lake, Lower Wacker, LaSalle, Chase Bank (haha), the Chicago River, the Wrigley Building, Daley Plaza, the halls where we waited to see the judge for our name change, etc. Sniff. We heart Chicago.

Loyalty to whom?
It's strange to be living in another country during the Olympics. Who do we support? The United States? Australia? It's hard to follow the Americans too much because the only coverage of them seems to be when they are losing to Aussies. We're trying to support both teams, but where does our loyalty lie when both countries are in the same pool?!! It's so confusing! Such difficult things we face in life!
Silly Bulldogs
Despite Brad Johnson kicking 5 goals, our Bulldogs lost to the North Melbourne Kangaroos. Boo. Our boys are locked into the top 3 with only 3 rounds of play left before finals ("playoffs"), which means they are rotating out their older and injured players and letting some of the young VFL guys play. At least... that's what we're telling ourselves.

Back in town
We're back from our Great Ocean Road/ Great Quilting Weekend adventure. We had an amazing time, and even got to see the whales in Warrnambool! Mama and baby seem quite happy.
There's also baby sheep EVERYWHERE! It's seems quite strange that the sheep are being born in the autumn/winter. I guess they still think they live in the Northern Hemisphere. Crazy Europeans.
